• Can you identify these??

Hi a sort of little game: can you identify the objects circled on this picture?

    Can you identify these??

I wondered whether the sort of box might be the same (or one of the same) as this one:

    Can you identify these??

What do you think?? Then there's the other object which is on the cushion of the high chair: any idea?? And what about the frame on the wall? I think it's a mirror... Does anybody know if it's still somewhere?

The tin box looks the same indeed. it looks as shiny and as golden as the one on the photo. The lid is also curved on the front, as on the picture. Well, maybe, maybe it is the one, Dr Watson...

Thanks Sherlock my friend. And what about the other thing on the chair?

The top left object is the little mirror that always hung there. It is reflecting the curtains. The tin box is one of two that was on the shelf about the fire. It used to hold loads of colourful buttons. I have both tin boxes. The items on the high chair I guess are toys put there out of the way because of the photo or Paco might have tripped over them.

Thanks AB! So if you have both these button boxes, then the one shown with some whitish substance in the bottom (sugar?) probably came from another part of the house.

Actually, you know Yves, I think that tin belonged to Auntie Olive. She did keep sugar in one like this but why it should turn up in 9 Derwents kitchen beats me! The buttons we played with all the time - matching them up, swapping them, stealing them(!) seeing how many we could find of one kind. It was a game of my childhood and then onto the next generation. I think this tin box is more gold than the ones I have.
